1. In todays society technology is so important in the classroom. I feel as though it is a big reason for the success in my lesson and so many others in the classroom. It helps students stay engaged and their are so many different resources out there that could contribute to more success.
2. With the sing along videos on YouTube it gives the students a way to learn the material and have something to recall in order to remember the information. It gives them a different way of learning the material as well as keeping them more engaged and interested.
3. My strategies included modeling how to physically sound out syllables as well as having physically interaction with the kids on the smart board game. The video was also good for repetition which is so important with younger grades.
4. Students should have prior knowledge on counting syllables so it should be a review. Of course all students come from different backgrounds so not all students will be at the same level or have the same knowledge. By showing the video and giving them a fun way to learn it should motivated them more.
5. With the use of the Smart Board game as well as the video it gives the students a way to sort of memorize with the hand movements and singing at the same time. With the game it gives me a way to check for understand right there and adjust accordingly.
6. Classroom management would be a must during this lesson. I would need to set my expectations at the beginning of class so that the students know what level our voices needed to be at during the video as well as when we are playing the game.
7. With me demonstrating the hand movements as well as giving the oral instruction it helps stray away from the "traditional way of teaching." This gives me a way to teach in a "fun" way to achieve the objective we are doing.
8. Without technology, we wouldn't be able to do fun activities like the YouTube video and interactive game on the smart board. Students would be less engaged and instruction would be very boring and not as successful.

3D Printing
I love the idea of 3D printing, and I also believe it can be a great tool that teachers can utilize in their classrooms. 3D printing could be very useful in Elementary classrooms. They can bring students imagination to life, print shapes for math lessons, or even bring a character in a book to life. There are so many different possibilities with 3D printing. I also love the tinkercad link because you can create just about anything. 3D printing is a new idea but I believe that it could be very handy in a classroom and there are so many benefits that go along with it.

Google Classroom
I think Google Classroom is a great tool to use in the classroom because you can use it from any device not just a computer. It also provides quick, effective feedback to your students. Google Classroom is also great because you can save a lot of paper doing assignments on the site. But with that being said, going paperless can cause some issues. Not all students have access to a computer or the internet at home so assignments that are on Google Classroom will have to be done at the school. Overall, I believe that Google Classroom can be a great tool to use.

How Has Technology Changed Our Lives?
Technology has made the world do a whole 360 on the way that we do things in our everyday lives. Whether we are at home, work, school, practice, etc. we are constantly using it. Education plays a huge role in this. Our education is so important for everyday function and with the use of google, phone calls, emails, etc. it makes our lives that much more efficient and we can learn about anything right at the drop of a button. Our communication, teaching methods, and medical research have advanced because of technology. We are able communicate with family from a far, video chat with kids over in China so we can help them learn english, fly across the country to see our loved ones, and we even able to see other planets from a tiny little telescope here on Earth. But, not all technology is good.
Technology has made some very important things worse off then they were. For example: our kids don't go out and play like they used to. The generation of kids today are so caught up in video games, cell phones, etc. and it is changing their childhoods drastically and the way that they think.
If you think about it, even though technology does so much good in our lives, we could be facing some serious issues in the future. Just like the article said about Mary Poppins. Some day, in the near future, our technology could advance so much that we could be facing a future with robots, footstools at the snap of a finger, and the use of no more teachers do to online schooling.
